16)And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17)Wherefore Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch not the unclean thing; And I will receive you,
18)And will be a Father unto you, And ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

For I am the Lord your God. You must consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. So do not defile yourselves with any of these small animals that scurry along the ground. For I, the Lord, am the one who brought you up from the land of Egypt, that I might be your God. Therefore, you must be holy because I am holy.

- What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said: “I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
- So come out from among unbelievers and be separate,” says the Lord, “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will graciously receive you and welcome you [with favor],
- And I will be a Father to you, And you will be My sons and daughters,” Says the Lord Almighty.
The God who chose you is Holy. So you should be holy in all that you do. It is written, “Be holy, because I am Holy.”
You must be holy because I, the Lord, am holy. I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
