THE GLORY OF CHILDREN’S CHILDREN Daily Soul Feast Day 29 October
Grandparents are proud of their grandchildren, just as children are proud of their parents.
God had a beautiful plan in mind for His children to see generation after generation living in perfect harmony. Originally God never intended for us to suffer separation from our loved ones as a result of death if not for disobedience.
Yet because God’s wrath is for a brief moment He has given us the opportunity of seeing our children’s children for a time as a prelude of what we will enjoy in eternity where we shall never be separated again.
Grandchildren are beautiful evidences of God’s goodness to us and like prized crowns we can proudly showcase them for the world to see. A grandparent that wants to have grandchildren that will become a blessing must have lovingly nurtured and brought up their children to become parent in the way of God.
THE GLORY OF CHILDREN’S CHILDREN
When God says we should train up a child in the way they should go it is partly in preparation for a day like this. To behold our grandchildren continuing the good works that we will soon leave behind.
There is no investment too great for your children for you cannot be a glory to your children if you have not invested in them. We should not be like Hezekiah who insensitively destroyed the inheritance of his children and their offspring thus sowing a seed of hatred in them.
When we have done our best to pilot our children it is great joy to see that they remain in the path of godliness. It is a great mystery that these same fragile children we nurtured through the help of God have grown to be adults now bringing up their own children.
THINKING ALOUD!
Not everyone will be privileged to experience the joy becoming a grandparent so if you are among the privileged ones you should be thankful to God and make it worthwhile.

THE GLORY OF CHILDREN’S CHILDREN IS JOY FOR GRANDPARENTS
Sadly not all grandchildren can be referred to as crowns. This is because some turned out to be rebellious and disrespectful to their grandparents.
Such offspring are problems in society causing both the parents and grandparents endless sorrows.
May our grandchildren not rob us of the joy and crown of grand parenting and may parents not rob their children of the parental glory they deserve.
Grandparents that are walking uprightly have a lot to offer to both their biological and spiritual grandchildren.
We have a responsibility of telling them how we made it so that they can learn and avoid pitfalls.
God commanded that we must be very careful not to forget the things we saw Him do for us. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well.
THE GLORY OF CHILDREN’S CHILDREN
The joy of having your grandchildren around you far outweighs the pain of aging so make good use of the limited time you have with them.
- Love them unconditionally.
- Pray for them.
- Teach them about God.
- Teach them about life.
- Listen to them.
- Advise them.
- Care for their well being.
Be a grandparent they can be proud of. If you did not get it right with your children this is the time for reconciliation. Ask God to help you put your family in order before you depart this world. Remember being a grandparent is also a reminder that the time we have left is short. May God help us to leave a good legacy that our grandchildren will be proud to build upon.

1) Lord may my grand children come to the knowledge of Christ and accept Him as Lord and Saviour early in their lives.
2) Cause my grandchildren to grow the way Jesus grew in knowledge, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
3) May the light of my grandchildren not be prematurely extinguished. Protect them from powers of darkness and their evil plans.
PRAY FERVENTLY
4) Give my children the grace and guidance to bring up my grandchildren in godly path and to lovingly care for them.
5) Let my children and grandchildren be blessed; make them whole and balanced. Establish them in faith, strengthen them to confront and triumph in the battle of life by Your power.
6) Feed my children and grandchildren from Your treasure of abundance.
LORD May I receive your answer to my prayers in Jesus Name (amen)
