GOD DEMANDS QUALITY WORK FROM HIS CHILDREN: ROMANS 12:11

Work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion.
God requires that His Children should be pacesetters for good deeds even in the work place. Every opportunity we have at doing things is an opportunity to render service to God and we cannot afford to give God that which is imperfect.
The first assignment God gave to mankind was in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
If we want our work to be pleasing to God we must do quality work and do it to time. God has not permitted any of His children to be lazy.
God Himself is not lazy as evidenced in the works of creation and the work He still continues to do every day.
“ Is it evident in your work that you are diligently doing your best?
Can your work pass through God’s refining fire and still be there for God to see?”

Jesus demonstrated how we should go about our work through His personal involvement in the ministry work before His crucifixion.
He said we must work the works of Him who sent us while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.
Don’t miss your day time. The time you have for an assignment or opportunities that comes your way is your day time.
Do not procrastinate because you don’t know what will be embedded in the next minute.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving through your work. Poor is he who works with a negligent and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes him rich.

Laziness is an unwillingness to work or use energy and it goes beyond your physical ability to carry out assignments.
One could actually be working hard yet exhibit some form of laziness.
IF YOU MANIFEST ANY OF THE UNDER LISTED: THEY ARE SIGNS THAT YOU ARE LAZY. IT MEANS YOU CAN STILL DO BETTER THAN WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW.
- Mentally Lazy: You dont like spending time to think things through or learn new things.
- You are occupied with irrelevancies most of the time.
- You always have a reason to defer work till later: Procrastination
- Negligence in your work.
- Not ready for the extra mile.
Jesus can help you fix your weakness if you solicit for His help. You need the Holy Spirit to shower new work attitude upon you so you can avoid the consequences of laziness.

Laziness casts one into a deep sleep [unmindful of lost opportunity], and the idle person will suffer hunger.
A lazy person sleeps mentally, is unable to visualize or converts opportunities and goes hungry of new ideas.
When you give room for distractions like a little rest when you ought to monitor your subordinates or workers; those distractions can rob you of growth.
When opportunities are not utilized at the right time there is the possibility that lack will set in and this can lead to poverty.
Your desires cannot bring food to the table if you are lazy. If you don’t overcome your laziness and put your hands to work; ruin will set in to your life. May that not be your portion in Jesus Name

Jesus is a good role model when we discuss diligence and working hard. His ministry was His work and He was always busy with it.
He conducted it with dignity and integrity. For that reason thousands of years after His death; the work has continued to thrive in the hands of faithful workers that have carried on the legacy of Jesus Christ.
Let us join the faithful workers: Whatever your hand finds to do: do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in the life after to which you are going.
We also get to enjoy the reward here. Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty.

Never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord; Romans 12:11(AMP)

May you not suffer poverty of God’s seal of approval concerning your work.
Receive deliverance from poverty due to negligence in your work. If you work diligently God will make you productive and there shall be fruits to show for your diligence.

PRAYER PETITIONS
1)Lord thank You for my physical fitness and the health you have given me. Help me to utilize it effectively in the work you have committed to me.
2) Position me in my place of work and open my eyes to discover the work you appointed for me.
3) Deliver me from the grip of slothfulness. Help me to set goals and make me organized to follow my plans through.
PRAY FERVENTLY
4) Help me to be sensitive to distractions and time wasters and to promptly discard same in my work.
5) Equip me for fruitful work Lord. Don’t let me experience poverty of your seal of approval concerning my work. May I not suffer poverty due to negligence in my work.
6) Let me be among the faithful workers carrying on the legacy of Jesus Christ. Make my work show that your spirit dwells in me.
LORD May I receive your answer to my prayers in Jesus Name (amen)
