BEGONE UNBELIEF MY SAVIOUR IS NEAR Verse 1

Begone unbelief, My Saviour is near

And for my relief will surely appear

By pray’r let me wrestle and He will perform

With Christ in the vessel I smile at the storm.

Verse 2

Though dark be my way since He is my guide

‘Tis mine to obey, ‘Tis His to provide

Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail

The word He hath spoken shall surely prevail.

Verse 3

His love in time past forbid me to think

He’ll leave me at least in troubleto sink

Each sweet Ebenezer I have in review

Confirms His good pleasure to help me quite through.

Verse 4

Why should I complain of want or distress

Temptation or pain? He told me no less

The heirs of salvation I know from His word.

Through much tribulation must follow their Lord

Verse 5

How bitter the cup no heart can conceive

Which He drank up, that sinners might live.

His way was much rougher and darker than mine

Did Christ, my Lord, suffer and I shall repine?

Verse 6

Since all that I meet shall work for my good

The bitter is sweet the medicine, food

Though painful the present t’will cease before long

And then oh how pleasant the conqueror’s song!

ISAIAH 12: 2-3 (KJV)
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

ELSHADDAI ELSHADDAI WORSHIP SONG

One of the challenges I encountered as a beginner saxophonist was getting correct solfa notation of gospel songs that I love. I am therefore posting lyrics and solfa notations for songs that I enjoy playing on the saxophone.

It is also my contribution to assist beginners and lovers of gospel music.
