BREAKUP YOUR FALLOW GROUND SOW FOR YOURSELVES RIGHTEOUSNESS
Daily soul feast for Day 11 September.
God spoke and demanded that it is time to break up your fallow ground. Your fallow ground is fertile land but left untilled. God uses illustration that His Children will understand. It was God that designed the fallow season. Farmers were instructed at that time to allow the land to rest in the seventh year after farming it for six years. This gave the soil time to recover essential nutrients making it fertile for new planting seasons. Before the farmer can plant new seeds he has to weed and break the hard soil. God likens our heart to the ground that had been left fallow and as such it has to be broken up.
HOSEA 10: 12
Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you. (Hosea 10:12 {ESV})
WHY THE LAND BECAME FALLOW
Some of us left the land of our heart fallow to pursue our personal greener pastures, marriage, business, career, academic pursuits and childbearing. In the process we forgot to come back and tend the land that is now overgrown with weeds and thorns.
God is not pleased and His love for us compels Him to draw our attention to what we have left undone. It is a call to each one of us personally. No one can plow the land for us. We must be ready to take responsibility.
It is time to search your heart and let God reveal what you need to do. It may be your service in the house of God, ministry to the unsaved or caring for the people around you. God is reminding you once again. Now is the season and time to fulfill God’s purpose for you. We need a beautiful beginning as we start a New season.
I encourage you to act and may God grant you favour and good success.
BREAKUP YOUR FALLOW GROUND PRAYER PETITIONS
- I confess and repent of all my rebellious acts Lord, please forgive me.
2) By your mercy Lord please circumcise the foreskin of my heart and deliver me from every rebellious spirit.
3) Lord Jesus come into my heart and let your blood cleanse every thistles and thorns that have occupied it.
4) Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn off from the root every weed representing my sinful habits.
5) Rain your righteousness on me and help me to sow seeds of righteousness. I desire mercy let me begin to bear new fruits of righteousness.
6) Give me a new beginning. Separate my seeds from thorns and cause my seeds to become useful and fruitful again in Jesus name.
All these I pray for through Jesus Christ. (Amen)
