This is time for reflections as the World faces financial crisis.
Thanks to God for the gift of life to us despite the raging Covid 19 and resultant challenges.
This is the time to be frugal and desist from spending excessively on clothing and fashion accessories.
My priorities as it relates to spending has changed significantly following the aftermath of the pandemic. In this post I am showcasing my budget friendly dressing on a day I had to visit many places. My dressing was simple and comfortable such that it was able to withstand the rigor of the day as I hop from one bus to another without me looking rough.
THE SMART LOOK
I am on a low budget so instead of spending on new clothing or accessories I prayerfully mixed and matched from clothes in my wardrobe.
You can do this too. Do not subject yourself to financial pressure to look good..
HOW I DRESS CLASSY ON A LOW BUDGET: WHAT I WORE ON A BUSY DAY
- Navy blue trouser. It actually has it’s top but this time around I opted for a new look so I put aside the original top.
- Camisole from another dress of long ago.
- Casual shirt. A gift from my son. It blended well.
- Turban. Gift from teens sometime ago. It came handy to protect my braids from dust.
You don’t have to make new purchases for every outing just to catch up with current trends. I am good with my own style. I create my own trend; following other people’s trend in fashion is a big No for me because it is expensive and will be disruptive to my finances.
HOW I DRESS CLASSY ON A LOW BUDGET: Eye Brow Pencil: My important accessory
The eye brow pencil is one out of the three makeup accessories I am fun of. My makeup kit is minimal and inexpensive but it does the work of adding a little shine to my dressing. Usually I don’t need to purchase an eye pencil more than once in a year. It is not an every day use for me but today I am in the mood for a little dressing up!

HOW I DRESS CLASSY ON A BUDGET: FRAMES AND LENS!
Prescription glasses have unintentionally become part of my dressing. Without the glasses I cannot read so if I must wear them why can’t I make them compliment my dressing? Well that is what I did! I always go for inexpensive frames that are good on me so that I can replace them often as I come across newer designs I cant resist.
I just got this budget friendly frame to replace the tired former one.
HOW DO i LOOK WITH MY GLASSES ON ?
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17(NIV)
I Add a lot of Inexpensive Turbans to my dress accessories.
Turbans are easy to buy. You can easily get the ready made velvet turbans at low prices in the market.
SACRIFICE PART OF YOUR CLOTHING MONEY TO BLESS THE POOR

Do not spend all you have on fashion trends. Learn to be prudent so as to stay free from debt and also have surplus to give to the poor.

HOW I DRESS CLASSY ON A LOW BUDGET: PRAYER PETITIONS FOR PROVISIONS AND GUIDANCE
1)Lord thank you for creating me wonderful and beautiful and always blessing me with gifts including my life.
2) Give me a better understanding in the use of my resources. Help me to be prudent as I try to dress classy and look good.
3) Dear God, please replace my stony heart that is dead to financial discipline with a heart of flesh that is frugal and wise in the use of money.
PRAY FERVENTLY
4) Lord beautify me from within. Teach me to use what I have on hand to radiate your glory and to showcase your beauty in me.
5) Provide for me Lord to sustain myself and to also be a channel of blessings to others. Open my eyes to their plight and let me sensitive enough to take action.
6) As I give to others Lord develop in me an attitude of humility. Do not let me become puff up or taunt the poor. May I not be derailed from my assignment by unsolicited praise singers.
LORD May I receive your answer to my prayers in Jesus Name (amen)
