To Thy precious, bleed-ing side.

Verse 1

I am thine O Lord, I have heard thy voice,
And it told thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to thee.

CHORUS
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To thy precious, bleeding side.

Verse 2

Consecrate me now to thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in thine.

Verse 3

O the pure delight of a single hour
That before thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!

Verse 4

There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with thee.

Psalm 119:94 (ASV)

I am thine, save me; For I have sought thy precepts.

  2. Thanks dear Sis/Bro. Yemi. You have blessed me this time and heaven is already blessing you. Keep this good job on. It is a legacy you are setting up for the safe keeping of the old legendary songs that have blessed the souls of lots of people in the past and are still made available for the blessing of myriads of the incoming generations if Jesus tarries.
    I got woke up this night with the inspiration to pray on an important issue around me and the song popped up in my heart. Though I could sing most of the stanzas off hand but because it has been a long time we sang it together as of old in our church, I felt the urge to ask Google to give me the lyrics and I stumbled at this dual language version with tonic solfa and it really assisted me in singing and praying this night.

    Thanks a lot for this and keep it up.
