I salute every parent honored with the responsibility of training children. May your work bear fruit that will successfully pass through God’s fire of refinement in Jesus Name. Parenting is an honor God bestows on His created beings although not everyone will be privilege to taste it reason being that some people die young while disability would prevent some from performing this role. If you are therefore opportune to be a parent it behooves you to ensure the task is carried out diligently in line with God’s mandate.
God wants us to bring up our Children such that they will recognize Him as Father.
The children belong to God but He gives parents the right to benefit from the children for God says the children are a reward and they are like arrows in the hand of warriors to parents that have them.
PROVERBS 22: 6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22: 6 (KJV)
God does not expect us to bring up our children to become another version of us but rather we are to sow Godly seeds in them.
Parents are to guide, nurture and train the children to be independent so that they will be able to discern between good and bad. The training should include helping them to know what God expect from them and their role in building the Nation and the Kingdom of God.
As a parent you need to understand that the way you bring up these children will determine the type of adult they will become in future.
The Society will have fewer problems if more godly children are occupying leadership positions and leading excellently with integrity.
NURTURE YOUR CHILDREN TO EXPLORE THEIR CAPABILITIES
Your children will learn and copy more from what they see you do than from the instructions you give them.
If you show them a good example to follow they stand a better chance of overcoming distractions and peer pressure. Even where they go astray they will never totally forget the practical example they see you demonstrate. This will help them to recover and retrace their steps to the right path.
Train them early to love God and the word of God. The Bible is the best resource to start them off in life.
For every stage in their life the guiding principles in the Bible will help them to fit well into the Society and live a balanced successful life.
NURTURE YOUR CHILDREN TO TAKE GREAT STEPS IN LIFE
PRAYER PETITION
- Lord the children You gave me are yours I present them to You, please fill them with Your Spirit and make them trainable.
2) My Lord I have no knowledge of how best to guide them please equip me to nurture and guide the children on a path that will establish them to fulfill your purpose for their lives.
3) Give me grace Lord to teach them Your unchanging and life giving principles.
4) Instill in them the capacity to know You and erase every rebellious spirit in them.
5) May my children not associate with peers groups that will waste their lives. Let your seal of ownership and protection rest upon them Lord.
6) I pray my children will be pleasing to You and attract Your favour. Give me joy over them and let them be my crown of glory.
May I receive your answer to my prayers in Jesus Name (amen)
