SECOND JOHN

KING JAMES VERSION (KJV)

SECOND JOHN

SECOND JOHN: UNIQUENESS

Second John is a brief letter written by the Apostle John, emphasizing the importance of walking in truth, love, and obedience to God’s commandments. John addresses “the elect lady and her children,” likely a metaphor for a church and its members.

He urges them to continue loving one another and warns against false teachers who deny the incarnation of Jesus Christ. The letter instructs believers not to show hospitality to such deceivers, so they do not become complicit in their evil work. John concludes by expressing his desire to visit and speak face-to-face.
