Who can dwell with the consuming fire? Success without sorrow in this New Year belongs to those that know God and dwell in His presence.
We read in the Bible that “Our God is an all-consuming fire.” If this is one of God’s characteristics ”Who can then dwell with the consuming fire”?
The Word of God is God’s gift to mankind but for those that lack understanding; the Word of God can be scary.
Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God’s Spirit. Such a person really does not understand them, and they seem to be nonsense, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis.
WHO CAN DWELL WITH THE CONSUMING FIRE?
“When you have the Spirit of God in you; you will understand the importance of God’s description as a consuming fire.”
THE CONSUMING FIRE DESTROYS THE WICKED AND THE UNREPENTANT
The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless:
“Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?”
God’s kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong and take no notice of the LORD’s majesty.
Our God approaches and will not be silent! Consuming fire precedes Him, and a tempest rages around Him.
A visitation shall come from the Lord of hosts in thunder, and with earthquake, and with a great noise of whirlwind and tempest, and with the flame of devouring fire.
And the LORD will cause His majestic voice to be heard and His mighty arm revealed, striking in angry wrath, with a flame of consuming fire, and with cloudburst, storm, and hailstones.
GOD DOES NOT DELIGHT IN THE DEATH OF THE WICKED
Will the workers of iniquity never learn? They devour my people like bread; they refuse to call upon the LORD.
God does not delight in the death of the sinner. Therefore accept His offer for reconciliation.
Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that He may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for He will forgive generously. For who is God that can save you aside the LORD? or Who is a rock save our God?
I urge you to call upon God and the LORD will answer; you will cry out, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

GOD DOES NOT DELIGHT IN THE DEATH OF THE WICKED
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. Renounce and repent of your stubbornness.
Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near and He will save you.
The LORD is faithful to those who are faithful to Him; completely good to those who are perfect.

Isaiah records that: Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil. They will be protected by the consuming fire.

CONDITION FOR DELIVERANCE FROM THE CONSUMING FIRE
If you want the deliverance:
- Live righteously. The one who walks in integrity walks securely, but those who perverts their ways will be found out.
- Speak what is right. The truth will set you free. The one who wanders from the way of wisdom will end up in the company of the departed.
- Reject gain from exhortation. Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
- Do not accept bribes. Greed brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes will live.
- Run away from people that are plotting murder.The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but the words of the pure are pleasant to Him.
- Shut your eyes from contemplating evil. Genuine righteousness leads to life, but the pursuit of evil brings death.

ISAIAH 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)
WHO CAN DWELL WITH THE CONSUMING FIRE?
Run to God for shelter. As for me; “I would hurry to my shelter far from this raging tempest.”
For in the day of trouble God will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His sacred tent and set me high upon a rock out of reach from the enemy’s attack.
Then the LORD will create over the whole dwelling area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory will be a canopy for defense.
God will be a wall of fire around me. The Lord declares that He will be the glory within your wall.
WHO CAN DWELL WITH THE CONSUMING FIRE?
You will sing a song like the song you sing when celebrating in the presence of the Lord.
Your hearts will be happy like someone going out with a flute on the way to the LORD’s mountain, to the rock of our salvation.
May your joy in the Lord never diminish in Jesus Name.

WHO CAN DWELL WITH THE CONSUMING FIRE? PRAYER PETITIONS
1)Lord turn my eyes away from worthless things; revive me with Your word.
2) Spread a cloud as a covering and a fire to light up the night so that the enemy will not destroy me Lord.
3) Lord let my work pass through your fire of refinement to destroy the useless parts that are not fit for your presence.
PRAY FERVENTLY
4) Dear God; hide us in the secret place of Your presence from the schemes of men. Conceal us in Your shelter from accusing tongues.
5) Father Lord be a wall of fire around us and as You have promised please be the glory within it and let your peace be over us.
6)Let my focus be on You Lord. Purge me of every uncleanliness with Your refining fire. Live in me and please do not give me up for destruction; let Your cord of love pull me away from the trap of the enemy. May I dwell in Your presence all the days of my life without being consumed by Your fire.
LORD May I receive your answer to my prayers in Jesus Name (amen)
